Traditional Chinese Medicine for Stress & Pain

Long term stress impacts everything from our emotions to our pain response. We offer holistic healthcare that is rooted in compassion and collaboration, providing you with the tools and resources to nourish your nervous system.

Medicine for the times

Have you ever been told you need to decrease your stress? Seems easy, right? Just relax. Calm down. The problem is, you can’t. Your body has been exposed to stressful events, workplaces and people for years. Now it’s in protection mode. Literally. Repeated activation of our “fight or flight” response can lead to a chronically dysregulated nervous system. Meaning it’s no longer easy to access a restful state. It’s difficult to digest, your energy is low and you’re constantly tense. It wasn’t always like this though. You remember a time where you felt like yourself. Your thoughts were more clear, you could sleep without aid and you felt grounded in your body. It is possible to get there again. It’s time for a reset.

Hi! I’m Kecia Fox, LAc

I’ve been where you are. You’re overwhelmed, exhausted and it feels like there’s a million things wrong with your body. Your lab results are normal and you’ve been told by doctors everything is fine, but you know deep down something is off. It can be hard not to feel discouraged at this juncture in your healthcare. My role as your Chinese medicine practitioner is to act as a guide and support as you explore what it means to feel well in your body again.

How Chinese Medicine Can Help

  • Feet with two acupuncture needles in them

    Acupuncture

Acupuncture has been proven to: reduce inflammation, increase circulation, regulate serotonin, decrease heart rate, lower cortisol, reduce anxiety and panic attacks and so much more! Acupuncture has been used in East Asia for thousands of years and is recommended by the CDC and WHO.

  • Patient with multiple glass cups suctioned to their back and practitioner using fire to add another cup

    Fire Cupping + Gua Sha

Commonly seen on athletes, fire cupping and gua sha loosens adhesions and restrictions in the tissue, increases blood flow to areas of tension or pain and stimulates the immune system to repair injury.

  • Table with an array of Chinese herbs including ginger and turmeric

    Herbal Medicine

Complex and targeted herbal formulas are used to address hormonal imbalances, provide opioid-free pain relief, improve blood flow, reduce inflammation, address underlying deficiencies and calm the nervous system without side effects.

Patient Reviews

  • “I started seeing Kecia 8 months ago to explore other options to remedy years of digestive issues, anxiety, muscle pain, back/neck pain, headaches, and daily fatigue. I had tried everything from elimination diets to prescription medications with little to no improvement. She helped me to understand the interconnections of everything that I was experiencing within my body and ultimately that my nervous system was in desperate need of a reboot. Within the first month, my digestive issues had almost completely vanished and I have experienced phenomenal improvements all other areas. Kecia's approach is from a place of incredible compassion, support, thoughtfulness, kindness, and deep rooted care. Her knowledge, wisdom, and expert techniques have changed my life! Highly recommended!

  • "I've had acupuncture and cupping before, but never at this quality. Kecia is so in tune with my needs, and so receptive to feedback, that it makes every appointment really enjoyable. She's really down to earth and easy to talk to also and incredibly knowledgeable. I've never felt like I couldn't ask her what she was doing, or request something from her if the pressure from cupping was too much or too little. She always walks me through what points she's going to be doing during treatment and why and makes sure I'm comfortable throughout my entire appointment. She has greatly helped me with my migraines and digestive issues through acupuncture and my shoulder issue from an old injury with cupping. I have recommended her to multiple friends and family members and will be bringing my daughter to her in the near future. I can't recommend her enough!"

  • "Could not say enough good things about Kecia and her healing abilities -- so gentle, yet so effective! Her compassion and energy is honestly unmatched and I deeply enjoyed each of our sessions. Her treatment plans are also so thoughtful and detail-oriented and, for the first time in a long time, I felt completely heard. She addresses the whole, unique person and was able to alleviate so many of my concerns. She changed so much for me! Thank you Kecia :)"
